Fede San Emetorio arrives!

Real Valladolid made their first acquisition of the summer with the arrival of Fede San Emetorio. The midfielder, who had spent last season on loan at Granada, originally signed for the club on August 15th, 2018 before joining the Andalucians for the duration their successful promotion campaign where he made 36 league appearances and scored twice.

Twin brother of Cultural Leonesa right-back Borja San Emetorio, Fede could well be seen as a potential replacement for his sibling's namesake, Borja Fernandez, playing a defensive role in the centre of midfield.

On Friday's presentation at the José Zorrilla, he declared himself as ready to stake a claim for a place in the side and outlined his style of play to the assembled media.

The 22-year-old Cantabrian began his career in the youth ranks at Racing Santander before signing his first professional contract with them in 2014. He made 68 appearances, then moved to Sevilla Atlético in 2016. He inked a deal with Pucela in August last year, immediately going on assignment to Granada where he enjoyed a successful season in the Segunda.
